In the final half of 2022,<\/strong> a climate change risk scenario analysis has been carried out for PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk which is in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD<\/a>). This analysis assesses various risks related to climate change, natural resource constraints, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The assessment and recommendations on Merdeka’s policies, marketing, reputation, and infrastructure, which were completed in November 2022, were taken into consideration by Merdeka in developing a sustainable business strategy.<\/p>\n

Merdeka is one of the few companies in Indonesia that took the initiative to carry out an analysis according to the recommendations of TCFD, an institution supported by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. TCFD is an advisory body created by the G20 to improve the disclosure of climate-related risks and opportunities for business.
